virus: Danger, Will Robinson!

Since one IS oneself, one should OWN oneself, and be allowed to
endanger oneself however one sees fit, with any drug one chooses to
imbibe, or in any other manner one decides to choose (up to and
including suicide - I am in favor of the death penalty for failed suicides
who still wish to die after a failed attempt ;~). However, we have left
psychology and entered sociology when we speak of driving drunk (or
however impaired) on a public road; in such cases, one does NOT own
another, so one does not have the right to endanger another, and when
one does so and is discovered, ethically, one should pay the social
price (this from a two-time - 18 1/2 years apart - DWI convictee). I now
drive sober and drink at home or where I have made designated driver
plans. I am overjoyed that I never had a DWI accident, for I would have
to live the rest of my life with the knowledge that I thoughtlessly and
cavalierly injured or killed an innocent other. Florida DWI laws are
rough, but not nearly as rough as living with that horror haunting you
until you die.
